Piano Lessons

The ability to read music, understand rhythm and develop independence of the hands is foundational to both Classical Track and Piano Club. AND we want to love piano and have fun at the same time in both tracks :)​  And so, we will always have scales, sight-reading and theory as regular features of our lessons in both tracks. ​

Classical Track

These lessons focus on preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams.  The emphasis is on polishing the exam pieces to a high performance standard, along with scales, sight-reading and aurals.  This is ideal for those already in the exam system, those studying music in school / university and those who enjoy working in detail.

Piano Club

These lessons feature a fun selection of pop tunes, beloved classics, folk tunes & current/viral ditties.  We will always learn scales and sight-reading because these are vital skills, but Piano Club offers a greater variety of pieces (often shorter in length) that are not required to be up to exam standard.  This is ideal for those just wanting to play for pleasure, those who want a break from exam work and those who want hit more goals more often.
